Quality & Food Safety Manager
We are looking for a Quality & Food Safety Manager to join the Operations Management Team (OMT) at PepsiCo ’s Snacks plant in Broek op Langedijk , the Netherlands — a key role driving quality, safety, and operational excellence across the site. This is a pivotal management position with a dual focus: ensuring the highest standards of product quality and food safety, while also fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. As a key member of the site leadership team, you will directly influence not only operational excellence but also the strategic and people agenda of the plant.
ResponsibilitiesLead and develop the QC and Food Safety team and lab operations, fostering engagement, growth, and healthy work-life balance.
Drive performance on Quality, Food Safety and Sanitation KPIs using SPARK and Lean Manufacturing principles.
Deliver Food Safety and Quality-related CAPEX projects on time and within budget, ensuring strong business impact.
Maintain and continuously improve the Quality and Food Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with legal and certification requirements ( FSSC 22000 , AIB International , and PepsiCo standards).
Secure successful audit outcomes (internal and external) and implement effective follow-up actions.
Collaborate closely with Operations, EHS, Procurement, R&D, and central Quality teams to ensure cross-functional alignment.
Provide training, coaching and guidance to enhance Food Safety and Quality awareness across the organization.
Elevate sanitation and hygiene standards across the plant, embedding a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Food Technology or a related field).
At least 5 years of experience in a production environment (preferably FMCG) and proven people management experience.
Strong business acumen — able to connect operational decisions with broader business impact.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
Fluent in Dutch and English.
Track record of driving results in continuous improvement and Lean environments.
